Dear Travellers,

NEPAL..... the land of nature, culture, and adventure..... from the majestic Mt. Everest to the mystical valley of Kathmandu, there is no place on earth like Nepal.

The best way to experience Nepal's unbeatable combination of natural beauty and cultural riches is to explore them through Apollo Excursions, a leading tours and trekking agency, which has been established to organise an exciting variety of tours, treks, mountaineering trips, expeditions and other adventures. For us, trekking in the Himalaya with Himalayan people is more than a business. We believe that trekking is an act of devotion--- the mountains are sacred, and we are the pilgrims.

OUR MOST POPULAR TREKS AND DURATIONS

ap-bl.gif (1151 bytes)Everest Region

This region also known as the Khumbu region is located in the eastern part of Nepal. It is a very popular and one of the most busiest trekking destinations with views of Mount Everest (Sagarmatha), the highest peak in the world, being the most notable attraction. Besides Mt. Everest - Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Cho-Ie and other surrounding peaks form an unforgettable panorama. It also provides trekkers an opportunity to see a large variety of flora and fauna. The warmth and hospitality extended by the local inhabitants of this region, the Sherpas, adds a further dimension to your experience of Nepal.

ap-bl.gif (1151 bytes)Annapurna Region

This region located in the western part of Nepal, is undoubtedly the most popular trekking area for many good reasons. Not only is it relatively accessible, but it offers both a variety of trekking destinations and a range of breath-taking spectacular views. In addition to the Annapurna Massif (including the Annapurnas, Machapuchre, Nilgiri and Lamjung), the arena also includes the neighbouring ranges like Dhaulagiri and Manaslu. A trip to the famous view point of "Poon Hill" would be worth taking. There are more serious treks further into the mountains, like Annapurna Sanctuary where you are surrounded by major peaks; Some are longer treks, such as the Annapurna Circuit, which gives not only changing views of the massif but a wealth of different cultural experiences from the villages you pass through. Trekkers can encounter rhododendron forests, the thin Tibetan highland atmosphere, as well as many ethnic groups on the way. The Tibetan influence can be felt very strongly on the northern side. All treks in the Annapurna region could be ideally combined with few days of relaxation by the lakeside in Pokhara (second big city of Nepal).

ap-wld.jpg (6698 bytes)Note:: All trips in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range may be combined with rafting on the Trishuli or Kaligandaki rivers as well as Jungle Safari in the Royal Chitwan National Park.

ap-bl.gif (1151 bytes)Langtang Region

Although less frequented than the famous Everest and Annapurna routes, the Langtang area offers many advantages to trekkers. To begin with, the starting point of this northern side of Nepal treks can be reached quickly and easily from Kathmandu. It includes no really high altitudes, it abounds in nature (rhododendron forests, wild orchids, wild animals) with stunningly beautiful scenery; and the trail takes trekkers through quaint villages showcasing the major ethnic groups of Nepal. Trekking in this region provides beautiful views of Ganesh Himal (7150m), Gauri Shankar(7145 m), Langtang Ri (7239m), Langtang Lirung (7245m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and Shisa Pangma (8046m).
